Lugang Cafe: Our 1st Xiao Long Bao

I was having a really bad day – stress from work and the MRT bogged down that my bf and I had to wait for more than an hour to get to Trinoma. Good thing we’re going on a date so we decided to eat somewhere really nice, where the food will take all our stress away. We crossed to SM North The Block to look for a place to eat.

I’ve been eyeing Lugang Cafe since I read in Spot.phΒ that they have one of the best-tasting iced teas. Incidentally, they serve xiao long bao!!! ^___^ My bf and I planned to taste this trending cuisine at Makati but since we have the opportunity to taste it now, we ordered one. We were really excited to taste our first xiao long bao! I thought it was like a viand that we can eat with rice but turns out, it’s an appetizer best to eat as it is.

True enough, we enjoyed our first xiao long bao while waiting for the rest of our order. One order costs Php248.

I was hesitant to order their iced tea as each glass costs Php150. But then again, we really wanted a sumptuous meal so we ordered one for each of us. And they do taste good! They’re freshly brewed iced tea. We also ordered Taiwanese pork chop, Garlic Pepper Squid (if I remember correctly) and Yang chow rice.

Our tummies were really full and our stress were all forgotten after that meal. πŸ™‚

Parvati

This will be my first foodie blog post. Although this is a travel blog, a journey isn’t complete without the food we discover along the way! πŸ™‚

I love this cafe so much that it’s about to become one of my favorite places in Trinoma mall. It’s situated in the ground floor of the mall so it’s free from the hustle and bustle of too many people going around the mall.

The menu is very simple: sandwich, pasta, and cake/dessert! I love that their slice of cake comes with a free brewed coffee (if your slice of cake costs Php140 and above, if I’m not mistaken). And their seafood pasta is really a must-try!!!

Update: Parvati is now just a stall in Trinoma. -_- They still serve their cakes and pastries but no more pasta and coffee. 😦
